The San Francisco Center for the Book Small Plates Publications Opening marks the completion of my edition of 100 handmade artist books. Common Matrix presents a speculative future in which an alien civilization creates an archive of detritus that they believe is emblematic of a former, non-transformed human population (the humans of today). Each book is annotated with alien language, and an assortment of found objects are collected inside a three-tiered folding box structure. Purchase

My proposal for an artist book, Common Matrix, has been selected by the San Francisco Center for the Book for the 2018 Small Plates Edition. Inspired by a speculative future of an alien civilization, the book will consist of an archive of detritus—a physical representation of what the human race once was.
